RE: Voice over talking when listening to voice mail long IPhone 7 with IOS 10.2.x

2017-02-05 Thread Merv Keck
This is also happening on my 6S+. It is not reading the transcription. It just
says something like about Voiceover being on or active. I don't remember
exactly what the message says because I am usually concentrating on the
voicemail. But it is definitely saying something about Voiceover and not
voicing the transcription. At least in my case.

Well that might be the issue as never thought of that as yes that
feature is showing up and is neat; but, if there's a way to turn it off then
that will be good as that might be what is causing the problem; but, from what
best remember without trying it is when go to listen to my voice mail voice
over is talking over the voice mail or persons message.

Just a guess but is it the new Voicemail transcription feature in iOS 10 and
VoiceOver is simply reading the transcribed text?

Do a three finger double tap to temporarily silence VoiceOver.

IPhones have been saying incoming call when making an out going call for a
while now. Keep writing Apple Accessibility and maybe Apple will fix it.

2017-02-04 Thread Mike Ulrich
Don, I also have these annoying problems on my 5S.

I haven’t dug into what makes these annoying things happen, I just learned how
to live with it. A Big Time PITA indeed!

Although, every now and then I do a hard reset, I think it’s called. In which
you hold down both the top unlock button along with the home button for say,
five seconds. It usually boots up on its own. It does seem to help, but I don’t
know.

Maybe try that? But remember, I ain’t no IPhone guru, just an ordinary average
blind guy. LOL!

incoming call and not outgoing call.
So any ideas about that too?
Thanks.

RE: Voice over talking when listening to voice mail long IPhone 7 with IOS 10.2.x

2017-02-04 Thread Don Risavy, Jr.
Okay where do we write to as didn’t save that info in the past when seen it.

Well it’s okay for it to do it as like said only does the first time listen to
the voice mail and just thought might be something did to my IPone 7 smile.

Well guess didn’t notice that saying incoming call when actually making an
outgoing call as much on my IPhone 6.

Thanks.

Do a three finger double tap to temporarily silence VoiceOver.

IPhones have been saying incoming call when making an out going call for a
while now. Keep writing Apple Accessibility and maybe Apple will fix it.

Later,

Richard

Wondered if anyone else has this issue when listening to voice mail on their
IPhone 7 running the latest IOS 10 where voice over talks while trying to
listen to a voice mail left? It only seem to do it the first time listen to
the voice mail and then if listen to it a second time don’t.

So was just curious if anyone else had run into this issue and if so how did
you tend to it or solve it?

Also noticed on my IPhone 7 at times when calling a number in my contacts says
incoming call and not outgoing call.

So any ideas about that too?

Thanks.
