Re: automated systems and the i phone

2014-06-06 Thread Andy Baracco
If you are not already doing so, I suggest that you wear an ear piece or
headset when you are doing this. It makes it easier for you to hear and
understand both Voiceover and the audio menu that you are trying to respond to.

No, not that I am aware of; only in the contacts.

Can one put in commas from the numeric keypad? If I'm doing a one time only
call, I'd prefer to add several commas to the phone number, then the access
code, then tap the Call button, rather than setting up a Contact for a
number I probably won't be calling again.

I'm not aware there is a comma option though, on the keypad.

Thanks. Keith

After you dial the number, the fourth tab over on the bottom, kind of just
to the left of the music player on what would be your home screen is the
Keypad tab. If you call and your keyboard is hidden, tap in that area and
you can then dial numbers for the touchtone menu.

Also, if you know what numbers you need to dial, you can set up a contact
and place a few commas as pauses after the regular number and before the
numbers you want the phone to dial after the number is answered.

Re: automated systems and the i phone

2014-06-06 Thread Alex Hall
Use speakerphone or, better still, a headset (such as the Earbuds your phone
probably came with). Either works, but I find it easier to hear VO's speech
when using a headset.
