You probably just don't wait long enough, I didn't have to swipe around a 
single time last night and I probably tested it about a dozen times on photos 
from my camera roll and pictures I took, it always automatically announced the 
description when it was ready. I assume how fast this happens may have to do 
with your internet speed and maybe a bit with how fast your phone is, but it 
typically took 10 to 20 seconds and once or twice maybe a bit longer.

When you open the app, double tap on the button to select photo. On
the next screen, double tap the all photos button. You will then get a
list of the pictures on your phone. Double tap to choose the one you
