I'm probably one of those where people think I discourage removing things from the app switcher, but this isn't exactly true. If you're having trouble with your iPhone, removing apps from the app switcher is absolutely something you should do. There's also nothing wrong with removing apps from the app switcher other than just making things a bit more inconvenient for yourself, so if this is something you want to do then by all means go ahead. My only point is that IOS has a lot of memory management code built into the operating system, so take advantage of it. Don't try to out smart IOS by constantly removing an app as soon as your finished with it. This will make things a bit more inconvenient for you and may use up a bit more battery if you're constantly opening and closing the same app. For my part, I do periodically go in and clean out my app switcher, even if I'm not having any issues with my phone. I'll also close down an app if it's one I just use very infrequently, like Venmo, Safari, Outlook, ... For apps that I use pretty much every day, like BARD, Messages, Netflix or Prime, Bible, Kindle, ..., then I'll just leave these running until I feel the need to do some house cleaning.
