Hi Ben,
No I haven't used a program like that… I read online where You go to see Drive,
windows, system 32, drivers, and click on etc, And click on host. From here it
said you were supposed to see a number like 74.12 etc., with an apple.com
suffix or Something like that at the end. I never saw this, just something to
do with Microsoft or something, but they said if you saw that particular number
that I didn't, to erase that and then just save the file on your computer, and
then go back in and tried to restore from there. I.e. That number that showed
up in with Microsoft, I erased that saved it, and then tried to restore again
from iTunes, but now I'm getting a error mmessage saying 0 xe865. So now,
I'm stuck as to what to try next. Any ideas?
Please help if you can.
Thanks.

Hi,
That's a communication problem where iTunes isn't able to contact the
restore server. Is there anything that could be stopping it such as a
firewall or other security software? Have you used any programs that
may have blocked the Apple restore servers in your hosts file - Tiny
Umbrella for example?
Cheers,
Ben.

Hello all, when trying to restore my iPad through iTunes, I hit restore and
it said that iOS 7.2 was available so I did the restore, it downloaded
everything, but it said unable to restore iPad, with a message of 3194
attached to it. What does this message mean, and is there anything else I
can try to get rid of the jailbreak and erase everything, and get the new
iOS on it?
Thanks.
