Any picture you have in dropbox can be sent to Seeing AI. Here are the steps you must take to send a picture to S-AI. 1. Open the folder where you have photos stored in dropbox. 2. locate a photo and DT (double tap) 3. choose share 4. DT "open in" (note: if this is your first time adding "seeing a I" to your share you must first dt the second more option and turn on "recognize with seeing aa i) 5. dt recognize with seeing a i -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of lenron brown Sent: August 7, 2017 6:49 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Seeing AI and PDFs It would also be nice to be able to import pictures from dropbox or the web and have seeing AI tell us what it thinks the picture is. Yes, it does sound like we're talking about a PDF that contains a scanned image of a document. This would have to go through some OCR first, and I think that's what the person is asking. They're asking if Seeing AI, and not VoiceOver, can perform the OCR on this image so VoiceOver has some text to read. They aren't asking if VoiceOver can read the text out of an image itself. BTW, JAWS and NVDA have OCR utilities built into them, so you can get some OCR with those screen readers.
