RE: iCloud Control Panel for Windows, was Re: Setting up icloud mail on your PC:
Hi Chris, I assume you are not a Windows user, but wherever you get your information it is quite wrong. Just like Grant I can confirm that the iCloud Control Panel for Windows is very accessible with Jaws. You can tab around and Jaws reads everything, I can go into options and change stuff like the location of my Photostream Folder, I can enable or disable bookmark/favourite syncing etc. The iCloud website is a different story, but from what I heard on the list it appears almost that it's more accessible with Windows and Internet Explorer and Jaws than it is on a Mac with Safari and Voiceover. Maybe somebody can correct me, but it is possible to do some stuff like make you riPhone send out a signal if you forget where you put it, I could wipe it etc. I don't use the iCloud website to manage Reminders because while it can be done it's slow and you have to do a lot of Jaws cursor work and why should I use it if I have my iPhone right there and I can add, change or delete reminders with ease and since I use Outlook.com for my personal mail, contacts and calendar and full Exchange for my business contacs, email and calendar I have no reason to use iCloud for that. I can confirm via a trusted friend that the iCloud Control Panel for Windows while horribly inaccessible does work with ZoomText. She is partially sighted and so does not need a screen reader. It's pretty accessible with JAWS. What issues are you having with it? It's simply a list of checkboxes that you tab through and can check or uncheck. Then select the apply button, then the close button.
