Hello,

Yes I believe you are correct. It sounds like the closed caption function is
active, and the media description function for voice over is active as well.

As for the VPN, with the MLB app, if she uses one to access the local feed she
may be blacked out. MLB is really bad about blacking out games this year.

Hi Maria,

Are you actually activating the closed captioning for the hearing
impaired? If so, that would explain this.

With my MLB app here in the Buffalo, New York area, I get local
commercials somehow instead of the NYC commercials.  I am wondering if
you are running a VPN? I wondered what might happen if you ran a VPN
with these ever more targeted methods of IP sniffing and targeting of
local adds. I wonder if you went too far with this would the streams not
play.

I ask Siri for the score, swipe around till I find a play by play

another play by play button, and when I double tap on it, I get a
pitch by pitch description by Siri.  I love it.

Something of interest, maybe?

2023-07-15 Thread Maria Campbell
I listen to the Yankees baseball games on the MLB app, but I don't get
the local commercials, because I don't live in the broadcast area.  The
national commercials I get are absolutely horrendous and repetitive.  I
accidentally discovered a way to get rid of all commercials, but I do
miss the announcer and the crowd.  Anyway, with a game in progress, I
ask Siri for the score, swipe around till I find a play by play button,
double tap on it, which opens my TV app.  .  I then get another play by
play button, and when I double tap on it, I get a pitch by pitch
description by Siri.  I love it.
