Re: Direct link was: Stacey cannot find type2phone

2012-11-29 Thread Cheryl Homiak
Sorry, I thought I sent this but i must have gotten sidetracked. I don't think
anybody has answered so I'll send now. Hth.
You don't have to enter a code to pair for type2phone. If you have the
type2phone app open on your Mac and have made your Mac discoverable in system
Preferences bluetooth, when you go to pair using the phone the number comes
up on the mac in type2phone (I think that's where it comes up). At any rate,
you don't have to enter the number anywhere. I'm afraid I don't remember at the
moment if you press return on the mac or click a button on the iPhone to finish
pairing but somebody else can probably fill that detail in for you.

Stacey cannot find type2phone

2012-11-22 Thread Cheryl Homiak
Well, I don't know what to tell you; type2phone is in the Mac app store and you
are spelling it correctly. My only thought would be that you are in a country
other than the U.S. and for some reason it isn't available to you but since
your email is bellsouth I doubt that. The other thing would be that you still
have your radio button in the Mac app store on updates so that the app isn't
showing up when you type the name in the search field and press return. If
neither of these is the case, I don't know what other suggestion to give; I
just tried it again and the search for type2phone brings up both type2phone and
iKeyboard. Also, I've changed the subject line; it's a bit confusing to have a
question about type2phone under an iKeyboard subject line. I hope you find it;
if I think of any other reason why you might not be able to find it, I'll post
again.

In another thread, somebody posted that iKeyboard controls your computer
while type2phone allows you to type on your keyboard. This isn't quite
correct. Actually, there are two iKeyboard apps: one for $9.99 and the
other free. The free one is iKeyboard Remote and does control your
i-device apparently, allowing you to control your music playing without
picking up your device. The $9.99 app is for inputting to the i-device
though I personally think I will stick with type2phone. Hope this
 clarifies things about iKeyboard.
