I have not tried making a playlist because I have never wanted to. I
don’t have a smart speaker so I usually do not listen to iPhone music
at home. The subway trip to downtown is just 20 minutes and most
flights are a couple of hours. I am happy listening to an album.
Honestly, it gets a little weird listening to an artist at different
ends of their career. The 1963 bob Dylan is different from the 1973
bob Dylan. Similarly, I don’t like the early Grateful Dead albums.
The same is true for Miles Davis first albums. I am told I am the
only or one of the few with Beats over the ear headphones on during a
cross country airplane ride.

2020-08-28 Thread Kelly Pierce
I have sub-folders for bands and genres, such as heavy metal and jazz.
I have added music to my iPhone over time so the burden of adding
individual albums to my iTunes library is not too taxing at any one
session. Some bands are timeless. Now that my Grateful Dead and
Metallica albums are on my iPhone, I am not taking them off. I can
listen to these bands over and over again.

Re: Syncing Music from iTunes Library to iPhone

2020-08-28 Thread K. Scott Carlson
I have hundreds of gigs of music, so that is impossible. The last version of
iTunes I had didn't do this but I don't recall what it was now.

Re: Syncing Music from iTunes Library to iPhone

2020-08-27 Thread Richard Turner
I just sync everything.
I agree the way you get dumped back to the top when trying to select only
certain things isidiotic.
Some people say that Waltr2 is easier to use to sync music to your iPhone. I
think it around $40, but I think everyone should be writing Apple and
complaining about the problem when you would want to only sync a portion of
your library.
