You are right, I missed the quotes. Since the Cubs do not play until this evening, (ESPN game), I’ll try it with another team. Definitely sounds like this will be easier than what I’ve been doing and it may start the feed more quickly. Thanks. RE: Updated MLB TV app offers no radio feed access.
Hi Fred, Thank you for pointing out the lack of radio feeds. I have encountered other problems with this update and had not noticed that omission. I had difficulty logging in which was required by the update for all devices used. I received error messages after typing in my password. What I did not realize was that after typing in the password, you had to choose the Done Button before trying to log in. Also, the first game in the schedule does not provide the names of the teams. One positive is that VoiceOver no longer speaks information once the feed starts playing. One option we have for now is you can play the radio feed through the MLB app if you have an Alexa or Google-enabled speaker. You say “open MLB.” Then after an introductory message, you say”play and the name of the team. Often, in my case, it’s Play the Chicago Cubs. I do find that on my Amazon Fire TV, the TV and the cable box both need to be off for this to work. This does not substitute for using the MLB TV app, and I will certainly contact MLB about this and the other issues I referenced above. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.
