Re: Using navigon with Siri

2015-07-19 Thread Jan Kleinhans
Hi

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been playing around a bit. Firstly, I went to
that edit box, then I pressed the home button to speak to Siri. It will then
find the info, but not via navigon. Next, I tried the dictation feature, being
in the edit field, and then activating dictation and speak the address. Now,
the info would be entered into the field, and could then tap on search, and
navigate to that address. I guess I did not think of the normal dictation
function on the keyboard as being part of Siri's work. That seems for me the
only way it works, unless I am missing something. Thanks for helping.

Regards

Jan

What the Navigon what's new section said was: Just type in POI names,
addresses or - even better - use SIRI for speech input..
I think in that context, they meant you have to be in the search box and
instead of typing in the one line search, you would dictate it with Siri.

Hi all

There was a update to the navigon gps app, and under the what's new
section it stated that this app could now be used with Siri to find an address.
Well, I don't seem to know how to achieve this. I can ask Siri to open
Navigon, which will happen. If I then ask Siri for an address, apple maps will
come up with the necessary information, like it used to happen before. What am
I missing here? Any help appreciated.

Glad that helped. Yes, the dictation function is Siri.
