As you said, I've done this with audio books which are made up of folders of
MP3 files, so there's no difference between this and music files. Just like I
can jump to a particular episode in a show or a chapter of a book, you could
also play a particular song. This is true in Voice Dream Reader and Book Player.

Subject: Using the BookPlayer app as a Music Player?
So I'm kind of wondering if any of you'll have ever thought about (or are
actualy using the "BookPlayer" app with which some of us are reading MP3 books
with nowadays? I got the possible idea of this because I could export into
"BookPlayer" albums or MP3 playlists that have already been ziped, from
Dropbox, for instance; I'd just need to keep them zipped before exporting them
into the app, so folder will play continually (be an album or MP3 folder,
right? Of course, I wouldn't be able to go into the folder or album and maybe
pick a song I'dlike to listen to sinc the album or folder will be zipped so
it'll play continually and I just don't feel like messing around with ITunes to
put music onto my IPHone and IPad! Thus I thought about "BookPlayer" how it
could be used for music aside from books.
I'm kind of looking forward to giving this a try! And yes, I've thought about
using "VLC" for my music, but I don't think VLC is able to work with zipped
content, in terms of exporting it? With VLC it'll have to be track by track,
right? Thus I don't think VLC will work with importing an unzipped folder?
However with VLC, I'd be able to go into a Music Playlist or album, and select
what song (or songs) I'd like to listen to.
So I'm thinking "BookPlayer" is the solution. Or what other options would
you'll recommend?
