RE: Voice Over bug with Rotor Languages and the Status Bar on iOS 17.4

2024-03-09 Thread Richard Turner
Yes, Apple won’t be aware of things reported on Applevis. You can also give
feedback through www.apple.com/feedback there
is a form to fill out after selecting the device you are using.

This form can be used for any feedback, accessibility or anything.

Well, I figured out what the bullet sign meant. In this case when using the
characters in the rotor, using voiceover, it refers to when it comes to the
clock or displaying time in the lock screen, that symbol is a narrow no break
space.

Hi All

I've just installed iOS and iPad OS 17.4 and I've noticed a really strange bug
with rotor languages and the status bar. When you are using another rotor
language, other than the default, every time you move to the status bar, by
either placing your finger on it, or using the shortcut. VO will switch to the
default language when reading. Then when I move away from the status bar, it
reverts to whatever language I'm currently using. I've tried uninstalling then
re installing the rotor languages and still the problem persists. This occurs
on both my iPad mini 6 and my iPhone 14 pro.

It's not a total disaster, but I'm hoping that Apple will release another
update soon, and hopefully the bug will go away.

Re: Voice Over bug with Rotor Languages and the Status Bar on iOS 17.4

2024-03-08 Thread Chela Robles
I have also noticed a minor bug with voiceover and braille display more specifically when it comes to displaying time in general and not sure if this is a new standard but when I see the time in the clock like the current time, and also on the locked screen, I see for example, 12:34•PM displayed on the braille display. I have the e-reader from Humanware and NLS, and the Humanware Brailliant BI-X-40. Anyone notice this? Usually there is supposed to be a space between the time and whether it's AM or PM. Is this a new braille UEB rule I should take into consideration  or am I crazy? I've never seen time written like that. Sent from my iPhoneOn Mar 8, 2024, at 6:39 AM, David Grossoehme wrote:

RE: Voice Over bug with Rotor Languages and the Status Bar on iOS 17.4

2024-03-06 Thread Richard Turner
What I find interesting about this is that on my 13 pro, I use Tom Enhanced
most of the time but have Ava set as my default.

I touch the status bar and it is always Tom speaking. It has never switched to
Ava in iOS 17.4.

I guess I’m lucky.

Cheers

Voice Over bug with Rotor Languages and the Status Bar on iOS 17.4

bug with rotor languages and the status bar. When you are using another

bar, by either placing your finger on it, or using the shortcut. VO will
switch to the default language when reading. Then when I move away from the
