Why do iPhone 5 and Brailliant B80 not get along?

2012-10-07 Thread Mike Malarsie
Hi everyone
I have been trying to use my Brailliant B8-0 with my iPhone 5 and have
been having lots of problems.
After getting it paired it usually only lasts a couuple minutes before
it disconnects itself. When I try to reconnect my phone says that the
brailliant isn't supported and I have to tell it to forget the device and pair
it all over again.
I am trying to read some books in iBooks with it but just can't get it
to work.
does anyone have tips or advice? Thanks everyone and GO BRONCOS!

Which OS are you using? Which iPhone are you using? Have you cleared the app
switcher? Have you then turned the iPhone off and on again?

Re: Why do iPhone 5 and Brailliant B80 not get along?

2012-10-07 Thread Blinkin
I am using IOS 6 and the iPhone 5. I have tried all of those steps except
clearing the app switcher.
I'll give it a go.

Re: Why do iPhone 5 and Brailliant B80 not get along?

2012-10-07 Thread Scott Howell
I tried pairing a Brailliant 40 which is about a year old and never got it to
pair. You might want to contact Apple Accessibility, accessibil...@apple.com,
(assuming this is a supported display). Some reason I thought there may be some
change necessary with the Brailliant, but I cannot recall and maybe why I could
not get it paired. I use a Refreshabraille which takes a little work to get
paired, but once done seems to work.

Because of problems in the humanware Bluetooth driver stacks, the brilliant
Braille displays were not compatible with an older version of iOS.
