Hello Richard and All,

Where would I find the Photo app to find the screen shot? I’ve never done this
meaning looking for a screen shot, so I’m not for sure where to find it.

Thank you.

As Sieghard pointed out, there isn't much you need to do.

However, I would guess that if your font is set very small, that could cause an
issue. However, if this was a screenshot from a web page, it could be the web
page font at fault.

I'd leave it to the person you send it to to figure out and let you know if the
font size is an issue. If you increase your font, you might not get everything
you want in the picture.

If you open the Photos app and tap on the Library tab along the bottom,
you can then find "Screenshots" as a album or whatever you want to call it.

This contains all your screenshots.

I am not sure what you mean by "making them accessible to sighted
people", any sighted person can see the screenshot so there isn't really
anything you have to "make accessible".

Can someone give me step by step instructions on finding screen shots
taken with iPhone and then how to make them accessible to sighted people. I
have not changed any of the default settings on my phone. I have tried finding
them by going in to the camera which is where I think I see some of them. I
just can’t seem to see the whole screenshot. I also tried going to library and
found that confusing as well. In some instances I find options to zoom or zoom
out. What do these mean? Do they make a difference in how the shot is spoken
or viewed? Thanks for your help. As you can see, my picture taking knowledge

My experience here, especially with Lyft, is that the driver cancels and there
is no record of the trip. They really make it look as though it never
happened. I did discover that apparently Uber does have some record of trip.
Thanks for help. I think I have gotten as close as I can to accessing these
shots.

Sorry, forgot we are talking iPhone and not computer. There is no maximizing of
screens on the iPhone,

Also, just as a suggestion, if you are using the screenshots that specifically
for Lyft and Uber, it's always good to mention this in the first place so you
get relevant responses. Just curious though, if you book a ride with Lyft or
Uber, you already have a record of it in the app even if the driver cancels.
When this happened to me once in Calgary I had no issues getting a refund, I
had ordered the ride and a few minutes prior to arrival I texted the driver
that I was blind and had a guide dog and to please alert me when he arrived.
Seconds later the driver cancelled the trip which obviously was because he now
found out I had a dog and didn't want to deal with that. I contacted Uber and
explained it and I got a refund as well as an apology and a promise that they
would take this up with the driver.

Best thing is to make sure your page is maximized and if you are taking a

If you open the Photos app and tap on the Library tab along the bottom, you can
then find "Screenshots" as a album or whatever you want to call it.

This contains all your screenshots.

I am not sure what you mean by "making them accessible to sighted people", any
sighted person can see the screenshot so there isn't really anything you have
to "make accessible".

Can someone give me step by step instructions on finding screen shots taken
with iPhone and then how to make them accessible to sighted people. I have not
changed any of the default settings on my phone. I have tried finding them by
going in to the camera which is where I think I see some of them. I just can’t
seem to see the whole screenshot. I also tried going to library and found that
confusing as well. In some instances I find options to zoom or zoom out. What
do these mean? Do they make a difference in how the shot is spoken or viewed?
Thanks for your help. As you can see, my picture taking knowledge is limited.

RE: accessing screen shots on iPhone and then making them readable by sighted folks

2023-07-30 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
A screenshot takes a picture of exactly what is on your screen. If the font is
super small then it will be so in the screenshot.
Best thing is to make sure your page is maximized and if you are taking a
screenshot of a web page, make sure it is set to 100% zoom, Control + NumPad
Minus and Plus are the keyboard shortcuts for zooming in and out.

I'd either ask Siri to open it, or use the Spotlight search to find it.
if you haven't run across it, it may be in a folder called utilities.

RE: accessing screen shots on iPhone and then making them readable by sighted folks

2023-07-30 Thread khevener
A while back, I sent one to a friend and she said the print was so small, she
could barely read it. Fortunately, she had a way to enlarge it. But, if I
ever need to send these to someone who does not have that ability, it would be
helpful for me to know how to make the img file bigger.

When taking a screenshot of a website, email etc keep in mind that to capture all of the info you want to share, you will need to take the first screenshot, go into the photos app, find the screenshot, view/listen to the last line captured in the screenshot, return to the source & scroll up with the next page in view. RE: accessing screen shots on iPhone and then making them readable by sighted folks

2023-07-29 Thread khevener
Hi Richard, I did that and from the toolbar, I chose info since I wanted to
read the contents. I found a file img… and doubletapped on it. Can not read
anything. What do I need to do to read that file?

After taking the screen shot, open the camera app, and find the button that
says photo and video viewer, and double tap.
