I have decided to make some significant changes to the music I have on my
iPhone, and thus I have decided that removing all the music in my iTunes
library will be the quickest way to do this.  I have not figurd out a way

delete songs by any other means other than one at a time, and since I have
around 2.5 Gb of music to delete, there has to be a better way.  Anyone

i believe if you want to get rid  of  a song go to the songs you want to 
get rid of and double tap and then swipe to the right.  it will give you 
a confermation dialog.  sometimes you may have to do it a few times.  it 
works the same with artists or albums or podcasts or whatever you want 
to get rid of.
