Hi,
Unfortunately iOS8.1 is more prone to catching colds, hence the noise
that you're hearing. Or it could be that the reachability feature that
helps people touch items at the top of the screen by lowering them
down is being enabled as this also makes the sort of sound that you're
describing. NB: this happens if you double tap (not press) the home
button.

as I sit still just holding the phone, all of a sudden there will be a sound
like a soft sneeze or a rubbing as if someone is rubbing the inside of my
phone. Could someone have hacked my phone or is this something seen before?
