Re: iCloud syncing and iCloud and native app

2014-06-03 Thread Alex Hall
1. No, iOS needs iTunes to sync ringtones. You can buy one right from a phone,
but that is the only other way I know of.

2. Yes. Simply enable Mail, create your email address if you don't already have
one @icloud.com, and you're done. Note that you cannot use that iCloud address
for your Apple ID, as technically it is a new ID in its own right. I don't
really understand how it all works, but the bottom line is you need a non-Apple
address as your ID. Hopefully this changes in the near future.

iCloud syncing and iCloud and native app

2014-06-03 Thread Regina Alvarado
I have 2 questions.

1. I don't think this is possible, but if it is I will pass on the instructions
on how. There are 2 people I know. One wants to get a ringtone from the other.
Can the second person put it on iCloud and can the first person sync it from
the cloud?

2. If I have an iCloud address, can I use it from mail just by adding it to my
mail in settings, mail, accounts and delete a Yahoo account and use native mail
app? Thank you for any help you can give me. I think the first is impossible
and the second might be possible or do I need to go to iCloud on the net to set
up?
