You just lift your finger, when it says Control Center or Notifications. You are there. You go to your mail app on the Home Screen, double-tap, then flick to the box you want. When you touch the mail icon, it should say, three unread or something like that to indicate how many unread emails you have. I was surprised at how easy it is, have not had any kind of problem without the Home Button and have not missed it. You could go to applevis.com and search for gestures on the newer phones that do not have Home Buttons. You might get a better picture than I am giving you, because it has become so second nature to me that I might be leaving something out that would be helpful to you that I take for granted. The same is true for the Home Page and App Switcher, but you swipe up from the bottom. You just lift your finger; you do not double-tap. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Shirley Baker Sent: Thursday, August 20, 2020 8:06 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: iPhone set gestures? RE: iPhone set gestures?
Hi Shirley, With the face id models of phone You swipe 1 finger down from the top of the screen and get the first haptic vibration which indicates control centre, Still moving the finger down and you get a 2nd haptic vibration which indicates the notification centre, At this you let go of the finger on the screen and then simply navigate around as you would on any other page or application, Swiping right / left depending on where you wish to go. There is no real fdifference in how you navigate around. The home button has simply been replaced with gestures on the screen such as a short swipe up from the bottom with one finger getting the first upward haptic feedback is equal to the home button press, Swiping up with one finger to the 2nd haptic vibration gives you the equal to home button press twice for the app switcher, It sounds crazy and does take time to get use to but it all works great once you get it fixed in your head. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Shirley Baker Sent: Friday, 21 August 2020 12:06 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: iPhone set gestures? Re: iPhone set gestures?
You don't have to go to the bottom of the screen. I just touch the top of my phone where the speaker is for the status bar, then swipe up with 3 fingers and there is the control center.
