Of course if you have anything that you ripped into the Apple lossless format
will be streamed/downloaded at 256. Of course have multiple backups of your
local files. Otherwise, I am coming up on my first year with the service and I
have no complaints. If I did you can bet I would have killed the service off
and saved my $25. :)

Yes, you can delete all the tracks that have been matched, and iTunes will

 Good evening Mac/Apple people,

I recently subscribed to this service, and while I have a couple nuts and
bolts questions, am curious as to how those of you who have also taken the
plonge are finding it. My question is strictly this: Having had all my music
matched, and uploaded, can I then delete the locally stored tracks from
iTunes so as to free up that 136 or thereabouts GB of drivespace, or do I
have to leave it as is? I had a long commute yesterday, and used IM the
majority of the way there, and yep, I'm definitely in bliss. VZW/LTE and
iTunes Match; a fantastic marriage IMO.

Thanks for any/all input everyone, and if this becomes too cluttered, feel
free to write me off-list. No, this service is by no means new, but it is to
me, so again, thanks for putting up with my ramble/question.

 Have fun, and take care.

2012-10-19 Thread matthew Dyer
Hi,

Yes I love it myself. I don't think you are going to have a problem with
deleting local files if they have already have been matched and are in the
cloud. I have the same music on my phone as I do on my mac. HTH.
