2013-06-05 Thread Mike O'Brien
Hi

I have heard that at least on Windows, DropBox 2.0 is inaccessible, but that
version 2.0.22 is accessible.

Hello all. does anyone know if the latest version of the dropbox application
has any accessability problems? the update has been available for a while at
least a few months. I have not updated because i wanted to be sure it was
accessible.

Hi Ann,

I had to check this because it's never been something I paid attention to
and in Windows the extension for known file tuypes is hidden by default.
Anyhow, yes, iOS Apps do have a .ipa extension.

Hi James,

If I get an update for an app which I know in the past had accessibility
issues, I go into my Mobile apps folder on the computer and I make a copy of
the app. Basically, I just find the app, do a Control+C followed by a
Control+V (for paste), this creates a copy with the exact same name with "-
copy" added to the file name. If you are still using Windows XP I think it
says "Copy of" in front.

Anyhow, once I hadve done this I update the app and if there is a problem
with accessibility I can delete the app from my phone and the computer,
rename the copy by deleting the "- copy" from the file name and then resync
my phone. This will put the previous version of the app back. Of course you
will then again see that you have an update and until the accessibility
issue is resolved you have to make sure you don't use "Update All" but
instead update each app individually.

You could also just update on the phone and, if the app has issues, delete
it from the phone and sync with your computer which if you haven't updated
the apps yet should have the previous version. But I find making a copy is
even saver.

RE: latest dropbox version

2013-06-03 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi James,

Something I found has come in handy at times is to make a copy of an app I
know is accessible before updating.

But I find making a copy is
even saver.

Sieghard
