2018-10-02 Thread Kelly Pierce
T-Mobile wants as many people as possible to upgrade to a 10 because
it can receive 600 MHz signals that T-Mobile just added. These allow
signals to reach farther distances and penetrate buildings much
better. I was in a big church on Saturday. When I had T-Mobile my
iPhone 7 showed no service because the signals could not penetrate the
concrete and stone structure. I had good reception with Verizon, which
I have now.

2018-10-01 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Terri,

The 6S was released in 2015 which is 2 years after the 5S. Normally the 5S
would not have received iOS 12 any more if you go with Apple's past practices,
but this year Apple made iOS 12 available also for the iPhone 5S. Anyhow, what
this means is that your 6S will still get iOS 13 next fall for sure so
therefore you can comfortably use it for another 2 years until iOS 14 comes
out. At that point you can see if the give iOS 14 to the 6S and even if not and
your 6S is working well there is no reason not to keep it for another year or
two if you want. At some point if you keep an iPhone for 5 or 6 years you would
have to get a new battery put in, but there are lots of third-party repair
places which do this for a relatively reasonable price compared to Apple. Yes,
currently you can get a 6S Battery replaced by Apple for $29, but that is over
at the end of this year and if you only bought your iPhone in the last year or
less you probably wouldn't need or qualify for a battery replacement yet.
I have a 6S Plus and I am keeping it at least until next fall and I may very
well keep it for a fifth year until the fall of 2020, all depends whether Apple
comes out with new iPhones next fall I really feel would make a big difference.

Hello Jenifer,

The message history options are the same as they were in iOS 10. You can still
select how long both text messages and audio messages are stored on your
device.

I just confirmed this on both a 6 S Plus and an 8 Plus.
