RE: Everything New With Siri in iOS 15: On-Device Processing, Offline Support, Sharing, Improved Context and More

2021-07-29 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
A perfect question for Google “Which iPhones have the A12 chip”?
Featured snippet from the web:
Apple's A12 Bionic chip debuted in 2018 in the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and
the iPhone XR

So, therefor anything after these 2018 phones will be able to do this like the
2019 models of iPhone 11, the SE 2020 as well of course as the 2020 models of
iPhone 12 and this year’s iPhone 13 family.

The only one I've used thus far is the two finger triple tap on the touch
doughnut will change between navigation mode and or the other mode which I
can't remember the name of right now.

Oh the other one which you will have found is the siri button on the right hand
upper edge.

It's good for opening apps but doesn't do a lot more for us in NZ at this point.

But I think it's a great remote much nicer I think than the previous version.

Hello Everyone,

Okay, I just purchased the new Siri remote for my Apple TV.

Very nice. I like the fact that I can now switch off both my Apple TV and
television with the click of one button.

I also like the fact that the swiping feature can be disabled; making the
remote more similar to the original Apple TV remote.

A general question to you all: Are there any accessibility secrets that are
now available with this latest version of the Siri remote?

Hi,

Okay, while using the new Siri remote, from the Settings menu on your Apple TV,
select Remotes and Devices.

The first item on the resulting list, is the one that you need to change in
order to disable the swiping feature. I think it’s called the Click Tab.

Subject: Mark on the New Apple Siri Remote for Apple TV, A Question

Hello Everyone,

Okay, I just purchased the new Siri remote for my Apple TV.

Very nice. I like the fact that I can now switch off both my Apple TV and
television with the click of one button.

I also like the fact that the swiping feature can be disabled; making the
remote more similar to the original Apple TV remote.

A general question to you all: Are there any accessibility secrets that are
now available with this latest version of the Siri remote?

Mark

Wow, I also got the new remote control, and didn't realize you can turn off the
swipe feature. Would you mind letting us know how to do that?

Thanks,

new to Siri

2015-12-15 Thread R VanLant
Since I just upgraded from an old iPhone 4, I am loving the little I have
found I can do with Siri to dictate text messages and to use the dictate
function on other emails and entry fields. To what extent can I ask Siri
to do things with other non-native apps such as Facebook messenger? What
are your favorite uses for Siri that are good for me to know? Is there a
general Siri how to overview out thre? Finally, Siri seems to understand me
quite well, but is there a way to train her to my voice? I cannot find an
option like that in settings.

Thanks.

Robin

RE: new to Siri

2015-12-15 Thread BBS
Hi Robin. I like Siri for opening apps, giving it a command to turn stuff on,
like Bluetooth, wifi or Voiceover just to name some examples, looking up
schedules for my favorite sports leagues, and a lot of things I can’t think of
at the moment. The only thing that I could think of that would help make Siri
familiar with your voice is to try out the “Hey Siri” function.
