LOL he told you. Settings, then Touch ID and Passcode.
What's the very first setting you find there, under the heading "Use
Touch ID For"? Hint: it says "iPhone unlock"

Hi I installed IOS 9 yesterday and now when I go to unlock my phone.
I have to enter a for digit pass word.
Can you change this in settings on your phone so you can just unlock your
phone with out having to enter A for digit pass code to unlock the
phone?
If so where do you go to change this and how to you change it and make it
last so you don't have to change it again?

RE: not having to enter a password to unlock your phone with IOS 9

2015-09-17 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
It would help if you mention what phone you have. You only have the "Touch Id
and Passcode" option if you have a 5S, 6 or 6 Plus. If you have an iPhone 5,
5C, 4S or 4 the option will just be "Passcode" since Touch Id is not available
on these devices. Keep in mind that flicking right through the options in iOS 8
sometimes skips items so you may have to explore the screen by dragging your
finger around or flick back and forth a bit to find it.
On my 5S the option is after "Sounds" and before "Privacy".
