Pear note questions

2015-01-23 Thread Eric Caron
Hi folks,

I have Pear Note on my phone and iPad. It seems Voice Over friendly
but I’m finding it challenging to figure out how to take notes while recording
and later have it play back the audio when I’m in the text.

Are there any other folks using Pear note and meeting success?

tips appreciated.

this would be a useful app in my work.

If someone is really feeling generous I’d love a lesson over Skype or i can
call in the Us.

pear note

2013-03-12 Thread Patrick Neazer
Hello everyone:

On this list a few days ago the App Pear note was mentioned in a thread
pertaining to apps for a student.

I took a look at the website and the app … which is a younger brother of the
Mac version, sounded quite interesting. My question is how accessible is the
IOS app and how accessible is the Mac version?

To the moderators: I am posting the latter portion of my question here given
that the developer suggests purchasing both the IOS and mac versions. So,
thought I would kill two birds with one stone.

I look forward to anyone who can provide any information. Looks promising.

Take good care and I wish you enough.

Re: pear note

2013-03-12 Thread William Windels
Hi Patrick,
It was me.

About the mac version, is very accessible. The biggest issue is that you can't
see the move of the audio-cursor in the text while listening to the record.

I mean after taking notes while recording , the cursor will stay on the same
place while listening to the record.

There are some unlabeled buttons but they are not very important I think.

The iOS version is also accessible after some suggestions I have given to the
developer.
Also, when you make notes with pear note on iOS , you can sync from there with
dropbox so that this notes are also visible directly with pear note on the mac.

Hope this helps,
kind regards,
William Windels

Re: pear note

2013-03-12 Thread Patrick Neazer
Hello William:

Thank you so much for your reply. After retrieving the deleted message I
discovered you and Esther had responded in that particular thread. Esther
offered Istudiez (with a z :).

In regard to the biggest issue you mentioned, not being able to see the audio
cursor move in the text while listening, is that a deal breaker? Is there a
work around? How does it effect the use of the program?

Forgive me if some of these questions sound quite novice. I am attempting to
rap my head around the concept without having played with the app and
attempting to see if it solves the dilemma a client is having. Heavens, I might
even pick it up for myself :).

If you have an opportunity to reply to this message I would greatly appreciate
it.

Take good care and I wish you enough.
