Re: query about Belkin splitter was: any good lightning head set recommendation

2017-03-18 Thread Wayne Merritt
Tara,
if I understand your question, the Belkin splitter has one lightning
plug and two lightning ports. If the keyboard could plug into one of
those lightning ports, then you could probably use it to charge and
use the keyboard at the same time. Otherwise, it doesn't sound like
it. Perhaps someone will or has created a similar splitter that can
let you connect different devices for a low price. I haven't regretted
my purchase of the Belkin Rock Star splitter in the last few months.

Good luck,
Wayne

I have to strongly second Sieghard's recommendation of the Apple wired

 I've
used both the lightning connector set that came with my iPhone 7 and an
older 3.5mm set with the adapter on my iPhone 7 with great success. For
the $30 cost, these wired earpods give me the best sound, fit, and
control of any wired headset I've used and I've used plenty through the
years. The control given by the remote button when reading a book is so
convenient when I'm listening to a book while tooling around.

I really like the Earpods that come with all iPhones, I guess you
 should
have received a set of Earpods with Lightning connector with your
 iPhone
 7. They are also available as a separate purchase.
I purchased a set to use at home with my iPhone 6S Plus just because I
like to have a back-up in case my every-day pair breaks and I also was
curious as to the sond quality of Lightning versus 3.5mm jack.
For whatever it's worth my 50-year old ears hear maybe a very small
quality improvement, but not that much. I definitely think the Earpods
whether 3.5mm or Lightning are one of the best headset deals in that
price range out there. I know there are some people say the Earpods
 don't
fit them well and that's of course a problem, but they fit my ears
 great,
they stay put and I like how I can just put them in lightly and get
 good
sound yet still hear 95% of everything else going on

2017-03-18 Thread Tara Prakash
Hi all.
I am aware about this splitter but not sure if the other side can be
used for any other purpose. I am hoping to use this splitter to charge
the phone while I am using a wired keyboard on an Ipad. Does anybody
know if that is possible?
