RE: Pause Recording In DropVox?
Well, Sieghard, since I use iTunes 11.4 a whole lot more than DropVox and since I have a DropVox workaround, I'll stick with iOS 8.3 a bit longer since I'm not quite prepared for the forced upgrade to iTunes 12.x required by iOS 9.x. I'll more than likely be getting a iPhone 7 next February provided it still has a headphone jack so I might just piggyback up to iOS 10. I'm really not a software Luddite but I loathe an upgrade that doesn't let me continue doing what I've mastered with my existing group of apps unless that upgrade provides a benefit that outweighs any cost from lost features or time spent re-learning things. Re: Pause Recording In DropVox?
Ari explained below the documented way to pause a recording in DropVox while using VoiceOver but that method seldom works for me. I've found that putting one finger on the play button and then double tapping with another finger. Watt I call a split finger double tap, usually works fine to pause. Another single finger double tap will restart the recording. Alan Lemly Sent from my iPhone > On Apr 1, 2016, at 2:15 PM, englishride...@gmail.com wrote: > > Yes, you can pause recording in DropVox. Re: Pause Recording In DropVox?
Yes, you can pause recording in DropVox. Do a mingle-finger tripple-tap on the pause button (which should already be in focus, since it's the only item on the recording screen). To resume recording, double-tap, and recording will start again. When you want to stop recording, double-tap again. If, after resuming recording from a paused state, you want to pause again, do another tripple-tap. Hope this helps. recording with dropvox
Hi all, For those who don't know, I am using an iphone 4 and using an app called dropvox wich is a recording app that you use to record with, then it uploads your files to dropbox. I took it away on a camp and turned the phone to aeroplane mode to save battery so I'd have more time for recording. I was recording for almost the entire day, about 15 hours for 3 days and I checked dropbox and not all the files seemed to have uploaded yet, even though it was recording and all working properly. Just wondering is there a time limit where recordings may not work anymore or cut out? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. Re: recording with dropvox
I don't know, honestly. but the developer is very open to support questions, i've suggested some accessability features to him as well. I would guess that as long as you have battery you are fine. I'm sorry, that's not very helpful. perhaps record in smaller increments? Dave C. Recording in Dropvox was Re: Check out Quick Record
Sorry forgot to change the subject so am re-sending. Hello all well what I do is mute VoiceOver before recording in Dropvox. That way any notifications will not be picked up in the recording. Once I stopped the recording I unmute VoiceOver. Christopher Hallsworth On 02/06/2012 02:01, Raul A. Gallegos wrote: This is why it's good there are hundreds of apps which do the same thing. I found it from the News Store app. In any case, what's really interesting is that when you record, the recording is done as a .mov file. This means that the recording is saved in the camera roll. Furthermore, this means that if you want to do audio-only recordings for uploading to Youtube, you can do it with this app since it's technically a video, but with audio only. I don't know what it shows on the screen, maybe a blank page, or a logo of some kind, but it's not a bad concept I think. I did a short recording and confirmed that it went to the camera roll, and I was even able to email it to myself. The app has no settings to mess with, and the recordings are clear. Only one button to start and one to stop. That's about as simple as it gets. The information is below. The app is called Quick Record and it's by Lin Fei.
