My daughter who did not have 2 step verification on her phone told me she had updated to IOS 11 with out having to have the 2 factor authentication. Is that right? Re: should i upgrade to ios11
I am using iPhone SE and already using latest update of version 11. I didn't face any issue, in fact my SE is working fine with voice over, seeri is working perfectly, there is no issue in notification, and I didn't have to setup my phone from the scretch, yes I do accept, the battery drain is rapid in comparison to erlier version. Hello, sounds good, but the way I use my devices, iPhone 6s in particular, the bugs present I can deal with. But then again, I have a high tolerance for bugs. RE: should i upgrade to ios11
Jed, Depends on you. If you are not ready to deal with the bugs, its your choice. If you are the type of person who wants things to work correctly, wait. Accessibility bugs don't usually get solved until the .1 version because they are not top on their list. If you don't like to mess with work arounds, you should wait for 11.1 which is not what came out yesterday. That was 11.0.1 Chances are they will end up going to 11.0.1 and 11.0.2 and 11.0.3 before they get to 11.1 Ron & Danvers -Original Message- From: jedbar...@gmail.com [mailto:jedbar...@gmail.com] On Behalf Of Jed Barton Sent: Thursday, September 28, 2017 1:34 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: should i upgrade to ios11 Well, that's 3 people saying don't upgrade, so i'll definitely wait for sure. For whatever it's worth, I have a 6S Plus and have 0 issues with battery drain, speech going away and sluggishness. My phone is as responsive as ever and if by the notification bug you guys mean that notifications aren't read out aloud on the lock screen that for me is not such a big deal and I'm sure it gets fixed in time. I find there is just as much or more to like about iOS 11 than there is to complain about and I have already not kept any apps which didn't get updated to 64 Bit, if you don't upgrade because you are holding on to some old 32 bit app which hasn't been updated in years then you are just postponing the inevitable. RE: should i upgrade to ios11
Likely you are correct about these apps ever being upgraded. I looked in settings a couple of weeks ago and there were 4 or 5 apps now only 2 apps not compatible with IOS11. SayColor and INote Many newer apps help with colors and I don't believe I use INote much. But I'll wait to upgrade. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Davy Cuppens Sent: Thursday, September 28, 2017 1:41 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: should i upgrade to ios11 Hi Ann That's not a negative reason for me not to update. Re: should i upgrade to ios11
I would search for apps that are 64 bit for sure. The bugs in IOS 11 make me think of when all those issues were going on with 8. The battery drain is my biggest one. I refuse to upgrade phones until that one is fixed. I am not buying a new phone to have that same problem.
