The gesture should be two finger swipe left or right. It works consistantly for

I swipe left or right with three fingers to change from one watch face to

RE: Question: What is the VoiceOver Gesture to Change Apple Watch Faces, on the Fly?

2024-03-21 Thread Richard Turner
Hi Diane,
I'm not Mark, but going to the clock setting on the watch the first item is
swipe to switch watch face, which was off. Turning it on makes it possible to
change watch faces with a two finger swipe left or right.
Thank you.
I doubt I would have found it.

RE: Question: What is the VoiceOver Gesture to Change Apple Watch Faces, on the Fly?

2024-03-19 Thread M. Taylor
Hi,

Disregard the question.

Apparently, what has been a default feature since the release of Apple Watch
series 2, is now a feature that must manually be enabled from within the
settings area of the OS.

I truly don't know why Apple keeps changing even the most basic settings when
those settings have been time-tested for years.

To manually enable this old feature, open the Settings app, on the watch and
then go to Clock. At the top of the list you will see an option to enable this
feature.

Watch OS 10 and switching watch faces

2023-09-19 Thread khaffar
Hi everyone:

Any idea how to switch faces with Watch OS 10. It use to be that a two-finger
swipe will move to the next face. This does not seem to work with this update.

Thank you,

Kamal

RE: watch faces?

2021-12-06 Thread Simon A Fogarty
HI Kay,

Good point,

I’d never noticed that before.

You have to add the face to your watch either on the watch app of the phone or
on the actual watch,

Then you get the number of complications on the face.

The problem is that you don’t get each of the
Faces telling you the complication number at the time you’re looking through,

I have two faces I use constantly which tell me the complication numbers.

But none of them in the faces tab give the complication number

So you might have to look / add each one at a time to find what you need.

Good luck though.

Hi Kay,

If you have a look at the watch app on the phone it should give you the names
of the watch face and how many complications each face has.

Or you can bring them up under add on the watch faces and they do have the
number of complicaitons each face has.

Sorry to reply to my own post, but another think I thought to add was that
through trial and error I found out that not all complications are available
with all watch faces. Furthermore, the same complication may look a bit
different from face to face or even when adding it to different positions on
the same face. I think this has to do with how much real estate is available
for the complication. The weather complication and the next appointment
complication are two examples where I’ve seen this. Sometimes I’ll see a few
words from the title of my next appointment and in other locations for the
complication I’ll just see the time of my next appointment.

Like I said below, I just spent a few weeks making a hobby out of this and
playing around with different faces when I was in the car or a waiting room.
I can see where this would be kind of tedious though. That’s kind of the
flip side to having so much functionality and so many features and options!

When I got my Apple Watch last summer, I just made checking out different
faces as a hobby. In addition to using the watch itself, you may also want
to use the face gallery in the watch app on your phone. I thought there was
an easy way to see how many complications each face has, but I couldn’t find
that without going into the description for each face. You’ll also want to
see which information comes with each watch face, so depending on the face,
you may not need six complications, depending on the complications you’re
interested in the face you choose. I ended up adding a lot of different
faces, and over time, as I saw which ones I jumped to the most, I ended up
removing those I never used.

I think as you know, you can have several different watch faces and just
flick left and right with two fingers to jump from face to face. Originally
I liked the modular face, which has five complications but seem pretty
simple otherwise. Eventually I settled on the activity face as my default
face. It comes with a lot of activity information on it already and allows
for two or three complications. When we were hiking in Colorado I added an
infograph face with eight complications and add all of the
meteorological/geological complications I could find, such as elevation. I
also have the Siri face on my watch and jump to it occasionally to check out
what Siri thinks I should know for the day. I also kept the astronomy face
on my watch, which is really simple with only a few complications, but
sounds like it looks pretty cool. These are the faces I have left on my
watch, and like I said, I discarded quite a few a long the way.

Oh, and one thing I forgot to add, I went into choosing a face thinking I
just wanted one with the most complications possible, but after playing with
a few, I realized I also needed to think about the information the face
already comes with and how the complications are laid out. Some of them get
pretty cluttered. Also, since it’s so easy to have multiple faces and just
jump between them, I also decided to group related information and
complications on the same face, such as the infograph face with the
meteorlogical complications I added or the activity face. Like I said, the
modular face was my first go to face. I added complications for the weather,
battery status, the most frequent activity I check and the timers app.

I know I rambled on and stated a lot of obvious things, but I hope this
helps.

watch faces?

2021-12-05 Thread Kay Malmquist
Hi all,
I want to create a couple of faces for my watch and have created one, but
there are so many that I can't figure out which ones might be better. I am
also looking for one with 6 complications. I know one exist because I heard
it on a demo, but I didn't hear the name of it. Any recommendations for any
to use would be appreciated. Thanks

Also, as far as I know; Apple watch faces are all in the face gallery in the

I do not know of any third party watch faces.

Re: Talking watch faces for Apple Watch

2021-10-02 Thread Richard Turner
As far as I know; just Mickey Mouse.
Also, as far as I know; Apple watch faces are all in the face gallery in the
watch app on your phone.
I do not know of any third party watch faces.
