Imagine you've opened a vnc file, then you've opened 20 other files

that! Opening 20 or more files in one single day is very
 likely, esp
  for an administrator.

As an admin, I have a folder on my desktop to put all the .vnc files
that I use in. Not that hard at all. I prefer it rather than
bloating the registry with every connection I've used.

VNC is already bloating the registry with previously connected hosts, so I
don't see the difference if that's not a few bytes more.

Well, it's clear that this suggestion isn't accepted. Forget about it.

  1) Open the application. In recently opened list choose
 the file we
  want.
  2) Open file manager and go deeper and deeper in the directories to
find the file. Then open the file.

 2) Can be handled by saving a .vnc file, then opening it when
 you want to use it.

Yes, and you'll still need file manager. And depending on each individual's
habit (whether he/she is an organised person), he/she might not be able to find back
the config file quickly few weeks or few days later.

 1) Can be handled by going to Start-Documents, where,
amongst other things, recently used .vnc files will appear.

Assuming that you are talking about VNC Viewer 4, the functionality you
describe already exists in the form of .vnc configuration files.

Subject: Suggestion : VNCviewer connection prompt accepts
 command line options

VNCviewer's command line options are richer than what is
suggested in the Connection options window. Is there any
plan to allow the connection prompt to accept also command
 line options?

If yes, that is quite cool because connection prompt has
history, so we don't have to click on Options... to choose
 any particular option.

Use of .vnc file seems supported already in VNC3, though I've never tried it.
But use of .vnc file, IMO, can't replace what I've suggested. Or can it?

You described having a set of Options saved for a particular host, which
is exactly what the .vnc file is for.

host, which is exactly what the .vnc file is for.

I saw already what you meant exactly, but the approach isn't quite the same.
Let's take the analogy of opening a document in two ways:
1) Open the application. In recently opened list choose the file we want.
2) Open file manager and go deeper and deeper in the directories to find the file.
Then open the file.

Both methods are complimentary to one another. None can replace the other.
