Re: [VoiceOps] Help Identifying Strange Tone
I think you cracked the case! That is exactly how it is behaving. If I immediately send the CNG, I never see the flutter tone. On Wed, Jun 22, 2016 5:24 PM, Jared Geiger ja...@compuwizz.net wrote: I've heard that before when dialing a fax machine when sharing the primary voice line, it would do that kind of behavior to make sure the caller was actually a fax machine. My guess is to save a voice caller's ears from getting the CNG tone whereas a fax machine would detect the line as answered and would start to send the tones causing the receiving fax machine to quit "ringing" and answer. ~Jared On Wed, Jun 22, 2016 at 4:41 PM, David Knell < david.kn...@telng.com > wrote: Best guess - it's fake ringback being generated by some auto fax/voice switch. --Dave On Wed, Jun 22, 2016 at 5:37 PM, Justin Grow < jg...@flowroute.com > wrote: This is an interesting one. [VoiceOps] Help with ATT/Southwestern Bell Test Calls
Hi Y'all, I'm testing some updated routing in the Dallas, TX area. If anyone on list has ATT landlines in LATA 552 that can place some calls to the below numbers and let me know your results, it would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to send responses off-list. These numbers should connect to a CID readback and echo line. 8178989608 8178989040 Regards, Justin Grow Operations +1.206.641.8038 jg...@flowroute.com___ VoiceOps mailing list VoiceOps@voiceops.org https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/voiceops
