PeLuLe,

I've a Fluke 9010A with a 9000A-68000 pod.
This equipment is capable to read out the cal ram data, if you know the
adresses, but as binary information.

Can this be of any help?

Yes, I absolutey agree. Also in my understandig a good re-engineering means a

Due to the sensivity of a possible CAL-Data damage the tests for verification
should be well prepared.
I am actually digging into the firmware, to check how the data is processed.
My "worst case" scenario is, if there is no suitable command, to add one by
extendig the firmware.
There is ~4k used ROM space free for, should be more than enought.

PeLuLe, thank you for files.

The only reason why article hidden from list, is it's draft status. I'd like to

2016-02-08 Thread Ludger . Lenzen
Thanks for the link, Todd.

It's a great site, I didn't find, even I looked for it. I regular check xDevs
for interesting project.

I have looked to the page and found a minor errors I like to note:
The "Datron 1281 Calibration and service manual, Volume 1, Issue 1, July 1989"
in fact is the complete SM (Vol1 and Vol2), I know as I have uploaded to KO4BB
myself :-)

My firmware is: v3.12, 05/11/96. I have placed the ROM files to a Dropbox
folder.

On the site is mentioned, you are looking for the specs of the DC405E2 (VFD
1x40 DOT Matrix Display).
I could manage to get the original spec from ITRON service some years ago (I am
a good customer).
I have optimized and added some useful information. I dropped to the Dropbox
also.

I had the plan for a "Datron 1281 DC4052 replacement". Mine was broken on
shipping.
I have added a picture of latest state of project.
It's on hold, as I got a complete Display Assembly and had no need for anymore.

I will keep the Dropbox for one week, than I will delete as I need the space
for a joined project.

Re: [volt-nuts] Fw: Datron 1281 / 1271 secret GPIB cmds for CALRAM-Readout

2016-02-07 Thread Todd Micallef
PeLuLe,

I am currently working on two 1281's. If you have anything you would like
me to try, let me know. I am certain my cal constants are not good on one
of them. The battery was just changed a few days ago and it appears to be
the original from '87. I also had some intermittent NVRAM errors.

Replacing caps worked for the first 1281 and cleared the DCV 2182 error.
The project is a WIP and everything is being documented on xDevs.

Also, please post your FW versions. Both of mine are at different revs and
I would like to know the different versions from Datron/Wavetek
