Interesting factoid about the population of earth... courtesy of the

Anyway, the dominant species on terra-firma these days, at least until
robots are perfected... (in terms of population)... is arguable not
human, nor even mammal.
The idea that birds evolved from dinosaurs has been around since before
the discovery of the fossil called Archaeopteryx - which is a bit of
both. The chicken carries many dino genes for sure ... and notably there
are about 21 billion chickens alive at any moment vs. only about a third
that number of humans. Good thing they can't vote.
Paleontologists like Jack Horner are actually trying to "reverse
engineer" the chicken back into an earlier version, kinda like what we
saw in Jurassic Park using dormant DNA. They have already had some
success. Here is “How to Build a Dinosaur” - his TED talk.

I suspect in a hundred years there will be more intelligent robots than
chickens, and maybe less humans, so the irony is that in terms of
numbers, we as a species never made the grade.
Furthermore, if you believe Kervran, chickens have evolved the ability
to transmute elements. If that feature can be incorporated then the next
carrier of the advanced circuitry may not be us. Possibly
"trans-humanism" may look more like "trans-dinamation" ... T-Rex with
petaFLOPS
