And more importantly, the ATO, a Commonwealth body is actively
encouraging a foreign corporation convicted in the USA under
investigation in the EU of using anti-competitive behavior (or words to
that effect)

It's bad enough private companies taking this line but state federal
government depts. are actively encouraging and compounding such
behavior.

If you look further down on Paley's webpage you will see he does

I just read this comment in an article about Microsoft's testing facility

http://www.winsupersite.com/reviews/winserver2k3_gold3.asp

Customers typically spend two weeks at the EEC--though the
Australian tax office was in for almost six weeks--and Microsoft can
host up to five customers at the EEC simultaneously.

I wonder whether that's because the ATO was being thorough or because
whoever writes their software didn't do a very good job :)

Apple has similar testing facilities for use by developers

Although of course you have to be in Cupertino :(

Have fun,

Acrobatics

I have Acrobat 5 (the full version) in Classic and Acrobat Reader 5.1 in
10.2.6. When I click on a pdf file Classic starts up and Acrobat opens. What
I would rather have is Acrobat Reader in OS X as the default reader. Is this
possible?

Cheers Tony

You could try doing a 'Get Info' on a .pdf file, opening the 'open
with' item and choosing Acrobat Reader 5.1

You can then use the 'Change All' button to make Acrobat Reader 5.1
the default.

Thanks,

Freezing mouse

2003-05-26 Thread Christian Kotz

Hi
Does anyone have any ideas why my apple puck mouse keeps freezing in
OS X? I'm using an iMac DV and it's just become apparent the mouse
freezes on screen and occasionally for long periods of time. I've
tried swapping keyboards and the port it's plugged into but it still
happens. Is it an Issue with this model mouse or is mine individual?
It's a little annoying and it's my only mouse. It gets worst when
more applications are open.

Regards Christian
