Hi all

At the moment I'm trying to convert some of my friend into buying a
iMac G5

in a couple weeks.. Instead of a Windows PCDell model

The specs for the G5 iMac is
1gig of ram
160 HD
Super Drive.
And the Total price from the Apple Store came to $2,927 and I did do a
Dell

comparison and of course the Dell was cheaper by $800 or so.

Is there anyone on the List who works at a Apple reseller store do a
better

deal than Apple Store online.
My friends do like the iMac G5 but price may even turn them to the dark
side..

If you want to go el cheapo:

iMac G5 1.6 GHz, 256MB RAM, 80G Hard Disk = $1,999
Kingmax 512MB RAM = $116
Maxtor 120 GB Hard Disk = $141
Sell the internal 80G Hard Disk on Ebay = -$70

Grand total of $2,186 but with slightly less memory and smaller HD.
About equivalent in price to the Dell model you mentioned.

Prints from iPhoto from Au/NZ users,...workaround?

2005-03-12 Thread Daniel Kerr
Hi All

Just read this on MacNN this morning,...kinda interesting.
http://www.macnn.com

---quote---
iPhoto plug-in allows AU/NZ users to order prints
The Shoe Box today released an iPhoto plug-in that allows all Australian and
New Zealand users of iPhoto to order photographic prints from within the the
iLife application. The company says it uses Premium Kodak paper for all
prints and allows users to simply click the Order Prints to place a secure
order with the company. Shoe Box says that the orders are shipped the same
day, so the majority of users will get their photos back the next day. The
iPhoto plug-in supports iPhoto 4/5.

Kinda interesting. No photo book,...but a start I suppose. :o)

Enjoy!

Kind Regards
