Only happens in pre-existing doc that I have received from elsewhere, never a de novo fresh document. What is going on here? Do I have to open the received doc and save as TXT then start over with re-formating and editing? Some of these docs I have to work with have unexpectedly large sizes. Just a guess, but try deleting the file Office Font Cache from your ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft folder, after first quitting any open Office applications, then re-launch Word. Whether or not this is the correct file I'm not sure, but there's no doubt there's a corrupt settings file somewhere. If the above doesn't have any effect, try logging into a different account (create a new one if you don't already have another one) and see if the problem persists. A sort by date in the ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft folder for that account will show what file are potentially involved. -- Peter HinchliffeApwin Computer Services FileMaker Pro Solutions Developer Perth, Western Australia Phone (618) 9332 6482Fax (618) 9332 0913 Mac because I prefer it -- Windows because I have to.

Download Problems with Safari
Hi everyone, I'm having some problems downloading with Safari. (I think anyway, otherwise the problem is with something else). I think my downloads are being cut off after they reach just over 1mb. I've been trying to download Stuffit Expander, and no matter which download link I try it just stops partway through and the file won't work. I tried a different version of Stuffit as well with the same problem. I had some other downloading problems before, which may or may not be related. Alternatively the problem could be wth the Stuffit website. I've just installed Tiger (10.4.3) and any advice would be great, or alternate Unstuffing programmes, I have a .sit file I need to open. [For Sale] Final Cut Pro 2.0
G'day all Could be used to upgrade to FC Studio 5.1. Upgrade price from FC Pro 1/2/3 according to Apple website is A$999 which is whole lot better than the A$1899 full price. I am after FC Express HD 3.5 which will set me back A$429, so any offer north of A$429 considered. Or if you can offer an old copy of FCE 1/2/3 + $139 (the FCE upgrade price) or more, that will get me to FCE HD 3.5 via the upgrade route. TIA Dudley Gager
