Re: Movies/photos between iPad and iMac

2011-05-02 Thread Marlene Oostryck
Hello Ronni

Finally found time in between the chaos of leaving for 7 weeks overseas to try
your suggestions. Many thanks.
Unfortunately I was not successful. I tried these approaches:

Made a test album in iPhoto 11 with 3 photos and a short video clip .MOV (I
eventually want to have Albums that combine still photos and movie clips from
travels).

Approach 1. Using iTunes, selected the Test Album (by checking the box in the
iPhoto album list) - but Advanced-Create iPad version was greyed out.
 (Sync Movies checkbox was enabled).

Approach 2. Dragged the selected test movie from iPhoto 11 to the Desktop, then
into the Movies section of iTunes, Create an iPad version (m4v). OK.
Then dragged this back into iPhoto into my test album and
synced it to my iPad.

The 3 photos in the Test Album synced, but the movie clip did not - either into
Photos or Movies.

I am probably doing something quite silly - hope you or someone can sort me out.

Regards

Marlene

Hi all,

I must apologise for having posted this query before checking the archives
(which I normally do).

I put it down to the fact that I checked my email first thing this morning
without having a coffee first...

Recording on the iPhone during a conversation was covered elsewhere about a

Discretely recording conversation in all states except NSW is permitted. You
are entitled to record a conversation as long as you are an active party in
that conversation. You are not required to make the other people aware of the
 recording except in NSW.

(Wire tapping of a phone line is still illegal)

Thank You Ronni

Adobe was gremlin, over stepping the mark, It wasn't set as default application

Trashed preferences as you instructed in point 3. All is well.

Preview is still so much friendlier!

Adobe tool bar eventually showed itself on a pdf in Safari!

Hi Brian,

Same results as Carlo in Safari 5.0.5 OS X 10.6.7 on my Macs.

1. Can you view the PDF Viewing Tools in Safari?
To see the toolbar, move the pointer to the bottom-center of the page.
If you move the pointer away from the toolbar, it disappears after a moment.

The toolbar has four buttons. Point to each button to see what it does.

If the type is too small or too large, click the “Zoom in” (+) and “Zoom out”
(-) buttons.

To view the PDF file in Preview, click the “Open PDF in Preview” button.

2. Do you have Preview set as your Default PDF reader on your Mac?
Find a PDF file you already have on the hard drive, then “command-i” on the PDF
In the Get Info window click the pop up menu next to: Open with. Choose
Preview. Change All

Relaunch Safari.

3. If you are still having the problem

Go to HD / Library / Internet Plug-ins / and delete the AdobePDFViewer.plugin.
Quit Safari and relaunch.

 Hi all,

I have looked at the archives and have had no success on this one.

Is there a local (Perth) store/dealer that is recommended for purchasing 4Gb
of memory for a MacBookPro 17 2008 model? It currently has 2 x 1Gb in the
slots. It is for a friend and she will need it installed.

Daniel is out of town at the moment and Macs4U are a bit pricey.

On a positive note she was experiencing intermittent computer display and
freezing problems and to me it looked like a graphics card error. She was
just 1 month out of a 3 year extended warranty. She went to the genius bar
this morning and Apple has come to the party and will perform a mother board
upgrade even though it is out of warranty. Good on you Apple!!

 Subject: MBP Memory upgrade

  Regards,
  Eugene
