Re: Mail ikon from dock
Would dragging a new icon from your applications folder be a solution? If you drag them off the dock they disappear in a 'puff of smoke'. Forklift app for 99c (Lion only)
(Repost of misdirected original that I sent to committee list by mistake.) Hi Muggers, A number of discussion threads lately have talked about FTP clients. I have to this point used the free CyberDuck, but an app called ForkLift is temporarily on sale for 99c on the Mac App Store, down from $29.99. I have no idea of the quality of this app or how it compares to other products out there but if you are familiar with ForkLift or just want to try it out now might be the time to move. I picked up a copy but will not get a chance to try it out for a few days yet. I am mired in exam stuff at the moment. Here is a link to the MacRumours article: http://www.macrumors.com/2012/05/22/binary-nights-puts-mac-file-transfer-app-forklift-on-sale-for-0-99/ Please note that this version of Forklift requires OS X 10.7 Lion. Re: Forklift app for 99c (Lion only)
I hope Peter doesn't mind me reposting his reply to the original post, as it points out a number of features that I have not explored as yet. --- begin quote --- Forklift came as part of the March 2012 MacUpdate Bundle, and has FTP as just one of a myriad things it can do. Some of its powers will remain puzzling to many users, but they include more accessible wonders like Folder Synchronisation, browsing the contents of archive files (eg, zip, rar, etc), split and combine large files, batch renaming, and many others. $0.99 seems an incredible price for this package.
