Re: 10.8.5 available

2013-09-13 Thread Michael Hawkins
Thank you Daniel. I'd hoped to avoid multiple downloads in the basis that a
combo download included everything relevant to that particular updated version
of software.

Regards

Michael.

iOS 6.1.3 is correct.
Are you saying this error message is appearing on your iPhone when you have it
connected to power when charging it?

Or is it appearing in iTunes App when you connect the iPhone to iTunes on your
Mac?

And is that the complete error message... It does not have another line after
it?

Cheers,

Error message -54

2013-09-13 Thread Pat
I was recharging an iPhone 4, 16 GB with 11 GB free (not much on it!). It is
running iOS 6.1.3, which is apparently the correct OS for it.

However, the message, 'the iTunes Library could not be saved, error -54', began
appearing. I looked on the Apple Support page, got hundreds of hits for that
message, but I could not figure out how it applied to this iPhone 4.

What could it mean and what are the consequences??

Thanks,
Pat

Re: 10.8.5 available

2013-09-13 Thread Daniel Kerr
Hi Michael

You need to buy the 10.8 full install through the Mac App Store first (about
$22), and install that. It's a 4GB download, so takes a while. it will most
likely be 10.8.4 (as I don't think it's changed to the full 10.8.5 installer
yet, but it will), Then yes you install the Combo Update for 10.8.5.

Kind regards
Daniel

2013-09-13 Thread Michael Hawkins
I have a 2.4GHz Intel Core i7 17" MacBook Pro (late 2011 edition), OS 10.7.5

Would I be able to instal the combo update OS 10.8.5, or must I install OS 10.8
first of all, and then update it by using the combo update?

Regards,

Michael Hawkins.
