Re: New DAS Keyboard for Mac (Brown keys)

2017-09-20 Thread Julie Bedford
Okay, will do.
I’ve never heard of these keyboards, but it appears there was an earlier
version out
back in 2012. It certainly looks a good sturdy keyboard - much like the once
we used
at least a decade ago !

Thanks again

Many thanks Steve.
That’s a good price from Amazon.

Yes, I gathered there were the two types and assume you have the quiet one.
I think I’ll go for the same brown key from Amazon. They have great reviews
too.

Cheers

I got prices from Australian suppliers that were close to $300 by the time the
delivery was added.
But I ordered from Amazon USA for about $230 delivered.
Only took about 10 days to arrive.

Be cautious.
There is a “blue key” and a “brown key”.
The “brown key" is clicky but quiet.
I have heard the “blue key” is very noisy.

Re: iOS 11 - ATTENTION!

2017-09-20 Thread Ronni Brown
Hi Walter & others,

Apple's iOS 11 leaves iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, 4th-gen iPad in dust in 64-bit
transition

iOS 11 update marks the end of support for not only 32-bit apps, but also
legacy 32-bit devices.
That means owners still clinging to their iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and
fourth-generation iPad will be left behind —or forced to upgrade.

The move isn't a surprise, as Apple's recently released Clips video app

only supports 64-bit hardware, meaning it cannot run on the iPhone 5, iPhone
5c, fourth-generation iPad, or any devices older than those.

Accordingly, iOS 11 will also mark the end of the line for 32-bit apps
,
which do not run in the first beta of the mobile operating system. Developers
will need to update their apps to 64-bit before the launch of iOS 11 this fall,
or else users will need to ditch abandoned apps before upgrading.

Cheers,
Ronni

New DAS Keyboard for Mac (Brown keys)

2017-09-20 Thread Stephen Chape
Hi folks,

I got one of the above about a month ago.
I am absolutely wrapped.
It is great to use a proper keyboard again.

My typing is faster and far fewer typo’s.
And I can hear it.

I do not like those flat keyboards from Apple.
I would recommend the DAS.

Regards,
Stephen Chape
