Hi,
Not sure what you mean. What is was doing was shutting down and
re-starting by itself.
One complication is that the time machine is backing up 3 computers.

Re: [WAMUG} computer re-starting continued

2021-06-03 Thread Rosemary Spark
My computer has been randomly re-starting for months. A while back someone
(Ronni) suggested turning off the Time Machine to see if that made a
difference.
It did...no re-starts.
Hency my questions.

Disconnect your time machine and protect it from fiddling and temptation

It is your rescue line and might be your only connection to your former life.

Focus on getting the computer going. Does it restart if you hold the shift key
down?

Hi Rosemary.
I don’t understand the relationship between Mac not starting and erasing your
Time Machine backup ?

[WAMUG} computer re-starting continued

2021-06-03 Thread Rosemary Spark
OK. My computer kept re-starting. Very annoying
Finally got to testing.
Turned off Time Machine as someone suggested...now no re-starting.
Now what do I do?
If the files are corrupt, how do I fix? Do I delete the whole backup? if
so, how?

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
