RE: Education iPods
I'm pretty sure the iPod Nano had educational discounts applied, I was checking their prices a few weeks ago but you'd only save about $30 I think it was - Christian Original Message From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: wamug@wamug.org.au Subject: Education iPods Date: Mon, 16 Oct 2006 14:17:41 +0800 Students and teachers for tertiary education are allowed to purchase one iPod of one type per year. You can purchase a 30GB for a standard price of $380 or an education price of $380. You can also purchase a 80GB for a standard price of $499 or an education price of $499. Is there any logical reason to make an educational iPod purchase? Re: Bluetooth mobile phones ...
I use a dinosuar Sony Ericsson T68i (first model with colour screen, all 256 shades of it) in 10.4, excellent integration except there's somewthing amiss with iSync, both my phone and my Ipod are out by a half an hour or sometimes days between whats in my iCal calendars and what's sent to them. Bluetooth file exchange lets me copy pictures from the phone to my Mac, Addressbook lets me call a contact and the best feature, type out SMS on computers keyboard and send them through the phone, also logs recieved messages as notes to contact in addressbook as well as replying to recieved messages, the computer can be configured to surf the net through the phone. There's an app called sailing clicker that allows ericsson phones to become a remote for the computer, remote controlling iTunes and other apps with out the need for line of sight and the title of the current track scrolls on the phone's screen. I also know that the high fashion Motorolla Razr 3 clamshell phones (V3, V3i with iTunes onboard and the v3X) are compatible bluetooth phones as well. The V3i syncronises to iTunes like an iPod does though it only stores 50 songs. Its apparently the only phone on the market with iTunes installed. - Christian Original Message From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: wamug@wamug.org.au Subject: Re: Bluetooth mobile phones ... iMac DV networking
Hi I have an iMac DV that has networking issues. When connected to my other iMac DV it allows kilobytes of data through (33k to be exact) and then dies off as in freezes the other machine and confuses itself etc. The iMac with issues is a grape running 9.2.2 and the other is a Blueberry running 10.2.8. In OS 9 the Bluberry has Open transport 2.8.2 and the Grape has 2.7. I replaced the crossover Ethernet lead thinking that was the problem but the problem still persists. Does anyone know where I can get Open Transport 2.8.2 installers from. Could there also be another issue lingering in my set up?
