Print to PDF
I have just migrated up from OS9 to OSX and am enjoying the new interface. But I have used PrintToPDF to print neat tidy and small pdf's from FileMaker to publish on the net. When I use the Save As PDF function from the printer dialogue box, the files are huge compared to before. The client only ever prints the PDF's from the net, so there is no need for anything fancy. Is the a simple printer program for OSX that creats small PDF's. I also notice the mouse and curser is way weird in OSX, and I feel like a grade 1 novice again. I have the Mac Pro Mouse on a G4 Tower. It works fine when I start up in OS9. Apple Vision
Hi I have a problem with my Apple Vision 1710 monitor I would like some help with. Connected to a 7300/200. I moved the monitor from one desk to another, then a couple of days later when starting up - dead as a doornail. Will not turn on. Have tried unplugging/replugging all cables, numerous restarts. AVI files
Hi all I recently purchased a Fujifilm digital camera that takes cool audio/video movies. The files are AVI, but huge in size. A recent 60 second movie turned out at 8mb - way too large for easy internet download (max preferred size is 2mb). Is there an easy way to reduce the file size of the AVI movie, even if the format is changed to MPEG or whatever. Any assistance would be appreciated. Domain names
Thanks to all contributors for the domain name problem I had. I registered free with www.mydomain.com Easily redirected my client's parked domain name to their server, online at www.melbourneit.com.au At www.mydomain.com I entered my Telstra homesite URL as the hidden ghost site. Now, when the client's domain is typed in the browser, the web site appears, with the URL intact in the address bar. Brilliant. Thanks again to all. Rev Heads
Hi all I seek volunteer rev heads who can offer assistance helping me re-size some massive .jpg pictures I have on CD of John Zappia's Zap's Rat drag car. The photos are for his web site gallery, and my computers here grind away for too long to re-size them back to 600x800 for the net.
