 Hi there folks,

I have just set up my step daughter with an eMac.
Got her away from the dark side at last.
I installed OpenOffice for her and she is totally frustrated with the lack

Don't want her blaming the Mac for this after telling her how great it is
 !!

I know this question was recently asked, but if anyone has MS Office 2004
that they are no longer using, I would be happy to buy from you for a
 reasonable figure.

PS: Also looking for an iSight webcam if anyone has a redundant one doing
 nothing ?
She communicates with her brother in Dubai using Skype but has no video at
 this stage.

Morning Stephen,

I would use NeoOffice especially 3.

Part of the problem could be the eMac not much horsepower? Remember
to download the PowerPC version.
I would also assume the speed problems will be still there even with
MS$ Office.

Cheers!

Hi Stephen,

What version of OpenOffice have you got installed? I'm assuming
version 3 but I found 1 and 2 quite slow whereas version 3 seemed to
sort this out.

If you're after a cheap webcam, www.zazz.com.au has a cheap one today
that apparently works with a Mac, mind this was tested on a 10.5 Intel
Machine so YMMV.
