Hello all -

Is MacFUSE MacFusion still the way to go for finder based FTP read /

Cheers, Anton.

I find Cyberduck is a viable alternative to FileZilla. It is also open source
but it has a more Mac like interface.

http://www.ilovefreesoftware.com/24/windows/internet/cyberduck-best-ftp-client-for-both-windows-and-mac.html

In the end there are some strong competing choices that all do the job so it
probably comes down to personal preference.

Re: FTP with MacFUSE / Fusion

2012-01-18 Thread Ronda Brown
Hi Anton,

When I decided to move my MobileMe iWeb website over to a new Hosting Service I
did a lot of research on which FTP client to use. My research final result was
Transmit 4 was the best, better than Cyber Duck.
Transmit is faster and I have not had any problems using it in Snow Leopard and
Lion.

Transmit
Transmit, by Panic, is one of the most popular Mac FTP apps. It has just seen a
refresh to its fourth version and boasts quite a few notable features including
25x speed and Finder disks integration.
http://www.panic.com/transmit/
http://mac.appstorm.net/reviews/web-dev-review/transmit-4-meet-your-new-favorite-ftp-client/

I'm not near my MacBook Pro so can't send my research notes.
Cyber Duck is free, Transmit is not. I think I paid $37, but can't check
tonight.

Cheers,
Ronni

I find Interarchy fast and easy to use. Cost is just under $30.00 AUD.
Universal coding and now available for OSX10.5 to 10.7.

fast, user friendly and trouble free.
