Re: Test WAMUG Mail Server

2016-05-31 Thread Ronda Brown
Hi Stephen & all,

The "WAMUG mailing list server" had problems. After Peter Crisp contacted me
early this morning re issues not being able to post to the mailing list, I sent
an email to the mailing list just to confirm it was not an isolated incident.

Once I knew it wasn't an isolated incident I alerted Daniel and he took over
the job of 'fixing the server'.

The Mailing Server problem seems completely fixed now.

Kind regards,
Ronni

Re: Test WAMUG Mail Server - Fixed

2016-05-31 Thread Daniel Kerr
Hi All

There was an issue with the WAMUG Mailing List server, which has now been
corrected. All should find the list working correctly now.
There may be a slight delay in emails, but most should have caught up by now.
If your email hasn’t arrived and you’d posted (and are not moderated to post),
then you may need to repost it.

Any other issues please let me know.

Thanks.

Kind regards
Daniel

Yes, that is what I see in the All Headers' from your email.

Again to be clear, all email I get, and that includes all the status messages
from the various servers I operate, come through with no problem. I may
receive as many as 150 messages daily depending on what the several servers
are doing. I can email to myself from any of my other accounts with no
 problems at all.

Similar to the amount of emails I receive daily.

When I go directly to WAMUG to get my password emailed to me it states the
email has gone out yet it never arrives. I can watch the email server from
here and there is no access at all from WAMUG.

You have a problem receiving WAMUG emails, something is blocking WAMUG emails
to you. If you can't see them on your Mail Server they are getting blocked
before they reach your server?

Re: TEST - no reply needed

2013-05-23 Thread Alan Smith
Hi Ronni

Hats off to Ronni!!

Just sent you a reply re data integrity - and converted it to plain text to
send. (This note arrived just in time.)
This email from you had to be converted too as I selected reply.
My Mail is doing something funny. It's not holding preferences - such as NOT
View - Group by converstions. I'll look into the causes and cures later.
But I will check email for plain text individually before I send them until
then.

Thans for ignoring the subject line!

Cheers
Alan

Re: Test

2007-08-08 Thread Neil Houghton
Hmmm, very strange - immediately I sent the test message (15:20) I finally
received the previous message (sent at 9:44 not 10:44 [typo]) followed a
minute later by the test message which came straight through - so what held
up the previous message by almost 6 hours?!!

More email paranoia!

Cheers

Re: Test... Unsubscribe...

2004-06-14 Thread Mark Scholmann
Hmm... I should not see this return via the list, as I have
unsubscribed... although I didn't receive a confirmation, so I am not
100% sure that it worked.

I am off for 3 months break, so won't be needing the feed.

It's been interesting as an ex-Mac user, watching the enthusiasm you all
have for Mac's.

Re: Test as Apple Single

2003-08-21 Thread Shay Telfer

Eudora mails to the list set at Apple Double ( Mime )
have been returned

In fact any e-mail with an attachment that's sent to the list should
be returned.

Mailing lists are not meant for distributing attachments. That's what
web pages are for.

Have fun,
Shay

Re: Test

2003-08-17 Thread Shay Telfer

Hi everyone

I have tried over ten times now to post on the WAMUG site but it
bounces back every time. I emailed Matthew Healey for advice but
alas no response, it did not bounce but no reply. I will email here
just to see if this works as a test. Can you tell me what the
'multipart/alternative,' is. It is no different to how I usually
send an email? My email works fine otherwise. Any ideas?

It has the content-type: multipart/alternative,

Thanks
Jon

Well, it seems you're using HTML e-mail for a start (as your
signature includes styled bolded text), which is generally a bad idea
(what's wrong with plain text?). Turn it off and see if that improves
things.

Are you (or your e-mail client) attaching any images, .vcf files, or
anything else? This may well also be a cause of the problem

Obviously you've managed to post now though.

Have fun,
Shay
