Any ideas? Not really, since I had no problems with it. Did you have Safari already running when you tried the installer? BTW - I did what I usually do: downloaded the update package and installed manually. I also had updated to Java 1.4.2 first, not that this should make any difference. Whatever, everything is running A-OK here. Perhaps you might try moving your original Safari to the Trash and then trying the installer again. -- Peter Hinchliffe Apwin Computer ServicesFileMaker Pro Solutions Developer Perth, Western Australia Phone (618) 9332 6482Fax (618) 9332 0913 Mac because I prefer it -- Windows because I have to.

You need to ensure Safari has quit before you run the installer. Make sure all users that are logged on have quit Safari. Safari 10.2 apparently only works under Panther (OS 10.3). Oh and for anyone that is interested, Safari is in my opinion far better than Internet Explorer. Regards, John Taylor

(And I had a copy of the installer running on a machine when I read your e-mail, but I missed seeing it by a second.)
Re: Safari fails to install
Ah! In my case my son was also logged in on the same computer and we both had Safari open.
