Re: VMWare problems

Hi Peter,

I am presently using 1.1.2 with no problems with the NAT setting - works
fine with wireless or Ethernet.

Regards,

Gavin

I'm keen to hear from anyone who is using VMWare Fusion successfully.
This is on behalf of a client whose VMWare install is working fine in
everything but sharing the Mac's network connection. The only setting
which is even halfway successful is the NAT setting. The other two each
disconnect the Ethernet interface completely.

The NAT setting maintains the Ethernet interface, but cannot receive an
IP address from the Mac. He running VMWare 1.0. I suspect that an
upgrade to 1.1.2 may fix, but I'd be interested to hear from anyone who
has had anything like this problem. I am aware that there is a known bug
in earlier versions, but this seems to be associated with wireless
connections. This one is a wired connection.
