Going on with what Ronni  Gavin have said.

If it looked as though .fqm was the only extension and you deleted it from the 
file name, did you put an extension on?
If there was multiple files they would probably have part1, part2 etc... in the 
file name.
This is more often the case that I see. I would try putting .rar as the 
extension and try that, hopefully you haven't deleted the files.

I download a couple of TV shows that are not on over here from the net but I 
download them as single files. On the odd occasion I get split files they are 
.rar and StuffIt never haves any probs.

fqm file

I have just downloaded Stargate universe from last week and it came as a folder 
of fqm files. But stuffit cannot open join and open them. what does?

If I'm correct, FQM is the name of the person who provided the release, not a 
file extension.

They are probably renamed zip/rar files.

Hi Tom,

Have tried removing fqm Stuffit gives me empty boxes and SL says unreadable 
files. 
I will ditch the files. This was all because I cannot stand watching TV 
programs with adverts. Best thing for downloading.
